Hiking on a glacier should be on everybody's Bucket List. Indeed, Iceland is the land of ice, it is essentially the name of the country.

11% of the surface of Iceland is covered with glaciers, and wherever you go, it is very hard to miss them.

During the first part of this tour, your guide will gear you up with harnesses, helmets, and ice axes, and adjust the size of your crampons. You will then walk with your guide 0all the way to the edge of the glacier, where your guide will give you instructions about how to put on the crampons, and how to walk safely on the glacier.

The next part is the most exciting time of the tour: You will hike on a glacier! Your guide will take you as far away as possible from all the other tours, to make you feel like you are alone on the glacier and therefore give you the best experience!

  • Glacier hiking equipment: Harness, Helmet, Crampons and Ice Axe
